Item Description

When it comes to Sapphire gems, you will find them in virtually every shade of the rainbow. Outside of red (which is Ruby), all other shades of gem grade Corundum are called Sapphire, though some of the pink material is still referred to as Ruby in Myanmar. In addition to the wide range of colors, Sapphires are some of the most popular, durable and highly sought after gems on the planet. This stone has an intense orange color, stronger than most you'll find, especailly for the size. Now, the stone has been treated to enhance the color, and this is a very common practice when it comes to Sapphires, as long as both the dealer and buyer know that the stone has been treated. With that said, you do not see many Sapphires with this color. The stone is only very very slightly included and has a standard "Round" cut.
