A sharp, semi-lustrous, well-formed, 3.1 cm crystal of rich pink Sapphire is surrounded by additional pink Sapphire on greenish Fuchsite mica matrix with minor brownish Vesuvianite. Though with a few rough edges and one termination etched, it is a remarkable example of this very unusual material. This is one of the best matrix examples of this material that we've had to offer, and the color, size and quality of the crystal are certainly good for the locality. This area in the last 15 years has produced some truly impressive Sapphires and Spinels, but they seemed to have dried up on the market, so if you've been wanting of these pieces, don't miss out.
