Item Description
While gem quality Sapphire has been found in many places around the world, the United States doesn't have much in way of fine quality material. Montana has produced the best Sapphires from the U.S., and they are sought after by serious gem collectors. Here we have a beautiful purple (with a slight pink overtone) Sapphire from one of the better known localities for the material in North America. This stone is virtually eye clean with a "Round Brilliant" cut, and it's important to note that the color is 100% natural, it has not been heated or treated whatsoever. A lovely brightly colored gem from this classic U.S. Sapphire locality. Although they have been mined for over a century, Montana Sapphires have become increasingly popular in the last few years. Keep in mind that when it comes to U.S. gems, they're always high in demand, and it doesn't matter if it's Benitoite from California, Rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home Mine, Hiddenite from North Carolina, Sapphires from Montana, etc., people are buying material from the United States at a higher rate than any point in history.
