Sapphire are some of the most diverse and celebrated gems in the world. For centuries, these stones have found their way into private collections, royal family crowns / jewelry, and the most prestigious museums. Sapphires are incredibly durable, and they are found in virtually every color of the rainbow. This is a lovely natural green Sapphire, which is a less common shade for the material. The stone is somewhat dark, but with backlighting, you can get the color to come through. The stone has an "Oval Cabochon" cut with some slight inclusions. The best part of this stone is that it's from Australia, which is a nice change of pace as we don't have many Australian Sapphires to offer.
