Item Description
A classic blue Sapphire crystal from Chilas with textbook hexagonal form, sharp faces, good luster and that rich saturated color. The piece is a complete doubly-terminated "floater" with no point of attachment. I'm told that these are found in marble and leached out. Fine quality all around, and although it's not gemmy, it's still a very attractive blue Sapphire crystal. A fine piece for any thumbnail collector or a fan of gem crystal species. Specimen weight is 8.71 carats.
