A REAL rarity from Tanzania and the Steve Smale Collection. This is a tabular, yellow, water-clear, gem sapphire crystal. The euhedral floater crystal has beautiful and striking, stepped-growth faces. Most of the crystal edges are razor sharp, while others are contacted, but have no damage, per se. We have not seen a sapphire crystal from Tanzania with this gemminess, style and bright yellow color. 10.47 carats or just over 2 grams.
