Item Description

A rarely seen, fairly sharp, euhedral, blue/purple, flattened hexagonal crystal of Sapphire from the famous gem gravels of Montana. This is one of the few crystals that I have seen from this area. This crystal has good gemminess and colorr for the locality, and was personally collected by Rich Kosnar on a trip to Montana in 1979. The piece might possibly be a twin as it appears to have a growth pattern that might indicate more than one crystal is present. If you're a collector of U.S. gem crystals or Sapphire crystals in general, do not miss out on this little beauty.
