Item Description
Here we have a very attractive, gemmy, rarely seen, fairly sharp, light greenish colored hexagonal crystal of Sapphire from the Eldorado Bar Deposit in Montana. The crystal is fairly thin, but almost what I could call facet grade, and it shows defined trigonal crystal growth, so even though it's gemmy, I wouldn't want to cut / destroy such a good example. When it comes to gem quality Sapphires, Montana stands out as the leading producer in the United States, and virtually every color of Sapphire you can think of has been found in the various mines and gem gravels. A beautiful piece of these elusive gem crystals. Crystal weight is 1.78 carats.
