Item Description

Sapphire triplets and doublets are extremely rare from the famous gem deposits of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. The gemmy and lustrous, light blue, tapered crystals are pristine and have classic, well-striated crystal faces. Both large crystals are doubly terminated and I really like the different diverging forms of the three clusters. Excellent older material from these famous deposits. 20.24 carats or just over 4 grams total mass. Seldom on the market today, as most such pieces are heat-treated and cut by the Chinese.
