A completely unique, one-of-a-kind Sapphire gem from Tanzania with a beautiful bi-colored appearance showing silvery-golden and silvery-blue shades on each end. There are actually some very thin Rutile crystals included inside the stone for a nice touch. Not only is this a good-sized stone with a natural bi-colored appearance, but what really makes this stone special is the fact that it has a "Fantasy" cut. This style of cutting is where the underside/pavilion/culet area of the gem has actually been carved to create beautiful geometric patterns, freeform designs or unique shapes that are seldom seen in any colored stones on the market today. The name of this cut is a "Shield Flare" cut. The stone would make a superb addition to your gem collection, or as the center stone in a very special piece of jewelry.
