Sapphire (bi-color)

When it comes to Sapphires, most people think of gems from places like Sri Lanka, Myanmar, India and Tanzania, but Australia has produced some gorgeous Sapphires over the years, including some unique bi-colored stones. We don't see a lot of these gems on the market, but they are among our favorite faceted Sapphires. This stone has a distinct blue hue on one end that transitions into a slightly more green shade, and then immediately goes completely colorless on the other end. The stone has very very slight inclusions with what could be called either a "rectangle" or "baguette" cut. The stone is is not treated in any way, the bi-colored effect is completely natural.
