Item Description
Going back to the early 2000s, the various gem tracts around Luc Yen have produced some impressive Sapphire crystals. These are easily some of the most attractive examples of the material to come out of any locality in recent years. This specimen is a good quality, lustrous, sharp, purplish-pink color, prismatic, hexagonal crystal. The reverse side of the crystal shows a small blue "dot" of color, almost like an inkblot. The front of the crystal is in good shape, but the back side is incomplete where it grew against the marble host rock.
