Sri Lanka has for centuries produced some of the finest Sapphire gems extant. I have seen Sapphires of every color of the rainbow from Sri Lanka and this stone is a great example of said material. This gem has a lovely silvery-lilac hue. The stone is very slightly included and has a "Round Brilliant" cut.
