Item Description
When it comes to faceted stones of Corundum, the red gems (and some pinks) are referred to as Ruby, but essentially every other shade (blue, yellow, green etc.) are Sapphires. Blue is still the most recognized hue for Sapphire, even to those who are not terribly familiar with gemstones. This stone has a deep blue color, and actually shows a bit of variance in hue due to some color zoned bands internally, and hails from what is one of the premier areas in the world for the material. The stone is very very slightly included and has a standard "Step Oval" cut.
