Item Description
Sapphires are found in every shade you can think of (except red/pink, at which point they are categorized as Rubies). Historically, the most well-known hue for Sapphire is blue, and some of the best examples have been found in Sri Lanka for centuries. This stone has very deep, inky blue color (nearly black), but with strong lighting, the blue color comes through. The gem is very very slightly included with a standard "Step Oval" cut. Blue Sapphires are steadily going up in price around the globe, and stones with dark color like this one are some of the most recognizable gems on the market.
