Item Description
Sapphire gems are found in virtually every color of the rainbow, which the exception of red, at which point they are classified as Rubies. Since they are Corundum, they are some of the most durable gems on the planet, with a hardness just below Diamond. Their versatility, color and multiple occurrences has allowed them to be admired worldwide for centuries. Sri Lanka has long been a source of excellent gem quality Sapphires. This stone has a beautiful glowing yellow color. It's only very very slightly included and has a standard "Step Oval" cut. A beautiful yellow Sapphire gem for any collector.
