Item Description
Sanromanite is an ultra-rare Na-Ca-Pb carbonate found in only two localities worldwide. Most specimens come from the Type Locality, an adit in this old silver mining district abandoned since the end of the 1800s (MINDAT). The species was approved in 2006! Sprays of tiny, about 1-2 mm, sparkly clear and greenish-yellow needles of sanromanite are richly scattered on one side and are scattered on the other three sides with emerald-green malachite microcrystals on the miniature matrix. Hard to see without a loupe, but they are there.
