Item Description
A striking and most unusal specimen of sand-included, doubly terminated calcite crystals! This complete all-around pristine floater piece is from a long difunct South Dakota locality - Rattlesnake Butte. The crystals have sharp pseudo-hexagonal form and this sculptural piece looks just like a cluster of saguaro cactus! Your can see faint bedding planes in the sandstone! Old material from the Hank & Mildred Malkin Collection and and collected in 1961, according to the former dealer label. Very seldom on the market. A visually striking, 360-degree specimen.
