Item Description
Samarskite is an uncommon, rare-earth oxide found in pegmatites, and this excellent example is from the less well-known Divino de Uba pegmatite of Brazil. The form of the orthorhombic, parallel-growth Samarskite is typical for this area, and being in combination with the Columbite is a rare, but signature, occurrence here. Accompanied by a 1950s-1960s-era Burminco label that indicates it was formerly in the well-know collection of O. Ivan Lee. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey.
