Item Description

A great specimen of a MOST unusual mineral: an ammonia-group-containing species! Natural crystals of this compound are quite rare in nature and the best come from this remote village in Tajikistan. The crystals have grown in a feather-like form with spurs of growth 90 degrees apart. With such high-quality, individual crystals and such an excellent aesthetic form, this is a unique mineral species for the collector of rarities and of aesthetics. Bill acquired this specimen from the Fersman Museum of Moscow (and comes with label from them labelled: MINERALOGICAL MUSUEM OF THE USSR). Valued highly, as they are not available so easily on the market, few having been collected and brought out.
