Item Description

An excellent, rich, rare and showy old-time combination miniature from the historic mines at Schneeberg. The sharp, lustrous, rounded native bismuth octahedrons to 1.0 cm aesthetically set on the right edge and back are the highlight of this fine piece. Nubby, matte-gray safflorite covers much of the front of the piece. Safflorite is an uncommon Co-arsenide. The back hosts, rare for the locale, sharp creamy dolomite rhombs. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection and obtained from Joe Urban at Tucson, according to his label. Rich old ore. Value??
