Item Description

A rich and unusually large specimen of this very rare uranium mineral, from the collection of Belgian mineralogist J. Chervet. It is noted as being obtained in november of 1953 and the crystals are described as exceptional on the label! Chervet then traded or sold it to Jean Behier, another prominent collector and mineralogist associated most often with the development of the mining industry in Madagascar. From him, it went to the Sorbonne in a trade.
