Rutile with Turgite

Item Description

A good quality, classic specimen of Rutile from the famous locality at Graves Mountain. The crystal is VERY sharp and VERY lustrous with a metallic, silvery color (with a red appearance on the faces). Additionally, the piece is associated with minor iridescent peacock colored Turgite near the base of the crystal. This eye catching thumbnail is a good example of this well known (and increasingly hard to find) material. Some minor damage keeps it from being pefect, but still not bad compared to others from the locality in this size, especially from the standpoint of luster and sharpness.
