Item Description

Some of the most iconic Rutile / Hematite specimens in the world are those from Novo Horizonte. This piece is a cool example from many years ago featuring golden Rutile crystals sprouting out of natural silvery Hematite "core". Good quality, and it's really cool to see the lovely iron and titanium oxides respectively. Ex Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
