Item Description
This has to be one of the best rutilated "stars" in its size range, as a thumbnail crystal. I cannot imagine one with more balance, that fits inside a crystal of such size (about an inch). The star is complete, symmetric, and very balanced. It is oriented, miraculously, outward to the display angle for the crystal as a whole, and needs no polishing to see it (usually the quartz must be at least lightly polished to see such stars inside, and its rare that they orient to a good display angle with the crystal they form in, as well). Note the small hematite crystal acting as the stellar nucleus, at center. 69 carats or about 14 grams
