Rutile is difficult to find in gem quality material though superb crystals are found in many localities around the world. This rough and cut set features a wonderful thumbnail crystal from the famous locality at Grave Mt., Georgia with the classic lustrous, metallic, silvery faces. The accompanying stone is actually from Sri Lanka and is a wonderful "Oval Cabochon" cut gem that shows a brillaint golden-orange "cat's eye" effect when the stone is exposed to strong lighting. A good smaller set of this well known titanium oxide.
