Item Description
Mirror-bright, twinned, deep wine-red, rutile crystals to 1.5 cm are aesthetically set on pyrophyllite matrix on this outstanding specimen from the famous Champion Mine. These are superb crystals for the locale. Classic older material, much rarer than Georgia rutile. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 338 and acquired from Dick Bedeaux at Tuscon in 1979.
