Item Description
Senaite is a rare very complex multiple oxide with titanium. Specimens of ANY type are VERY RARE from this obscure Minas Gerais farm. The nubby quartz matrix features two RARE clusters on the left side of lustrous rutile pseudomorphs after single and twinned senaite crystals. A striking accessory on the right side is the single 6 mm pseudomorph of rutile after a very sharp magnetite or pyrite octahedron! See the location article in the May-June, 1986 issue of the Mineralogical Record. This super rarity was collected in the 1970s or 80s. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11972. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007).
