Item Description

What a beautiful and attractive cabinet display specimen that is not easily found on the market. This is a classic piece from North Carolina featuring fine, sharp, prismatic, red to orange-red color crystals of Rutile measuring up to 1.1 cm which are sitting on a nice bed of crystallized Muscovite. The external color on the Muscovite is a metallic golden hue, but when they're backlit, the color is actually GREEN!, which is caused by the presence of Chromium! I have seen a few of these specimens over the years, and they always seem to be few and far between, and this one might be the best we've had to offer from this locality.
