Rutile on matrix (classic material)

Item Description

A very good and classic specimen of Rutile from the famous locality at Graves Mountain. The main crystal is very sharp, highly lustrous with a metallic, silvery color (with a slight red appearance on the prism faces) which is aesthetically intergrowth with additional associated Rutile crystals. Rarely are these Rutile crystals seen on matrix, and this eye catching small miniature is a great example of this well known (and increasingly hard to find) material. The main crystal measures 2.6 x 2.2 cm. Some slight damage keeps it from being a killer, but still very good compared to most from the locality.
