Rutile on matrix

A very good and classic specimen of Rutile from the famous locality at Graves Mountain. The main crystal is notably sharp, lustrous with a metallic, silvery color (with a slight red appearance on the prism faces) which is aesthetically sitting on matrix. Rarely are these Rutile crystals seen on matrix, and this eye catching small cabinet is a great example of this well known (and increasingly hard to find) material. The crystal measures 4.1 cm on its longest dimension. Some slight damage keeps it from being pefect, but still VERY good compared to most from the locality. Valued at $1250.
