Item Description

Specimens of ANY type from the Republic of Cameroon are extremely rare! This is a large, euhedral, chocolate-brown, lustrous, rutile crystal from the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection. The label dates to the French colonial period from the end of World War I to 1960. It was most likely obtained during one of Sam Gordons famous collecting trips for the Academy to Africa during the 1920s. Incredibly rare and possibly unique material.
