Item Description

Quartz is found all over the world, from virtually all mineral-bearing environments. It is not only incredibly well-konwn and widespread, but it also has the distinction of hosting other minerals included inside of it. Some of the most famous Quartz gems with inclusions are the beautiful stones from Novo Horizonte, which feature fine quality Rutile and Hematite crystals. I think most mineral/gem collector have seen this material. They've been available for decades, but recently they have sky-rocketed in value. Over the last several years, we've seen that some European gem and jewelry dealers are SELLING this material for upwards of $100 per carat, and it is flying off the shelves. It seems to have found a niche in the European and Japanese markets, and buyers and dealers alike are scooping these gems up as fast as they can find them. I honestly have always liked these stones, but now they are becoming more difficult to purchase for reasonable prices. This stone is a "Round Cabochon" cut Quartz stone which features beautiful golden Rutile needles and a central "core" of metallic black Hematite frozen inside, creating an eye-catching 6-ray "star" With the higher prices being paid for these gems, they will more than likely always stay at a high value from now on, so do not miss your chance to scoop up this top notch stone for a great price. For reference, we got this stone from a former wholesaler who had it priced at $887.75
