Item Description
Quite large for the region, this Rutile crystal has the typical growth pattern for many of the Rutiles from Windhoek. Striated, with a high luster, parts of the surface are hollowed out. These hollows, and elsewhere, are encrusted by Limonite, which provides an interesting visual and mineral contrast. This is a good, representative Rutile for this area, which includes the famous Onganja Mine.
