Rutile

Item Description

This piece comes with an old label from Minerals Unlimited that states it's from a locality called the Massie Prospect, but I cannot find a listing for this locality. With that said, this is also an exemplary example of Rutile from the Piney River area as it is amazingly sharp, lustrous and well-formed. The smooth, bright, metallic faces along with the textbook crystal form make it a VERY worthwhile thumbnail of Rutile regardless of locality. I can honestly say that I haven't seen another piece from this area with such excellent crystallization.
