Item Description
This classic and literally antique USA specimen showcases a highly lustrous, dark wine-red, twinned rutile crystal, measuring 2.9 cm in length is aesthetically emplaced on matrix. Pinpricks of red highlights can be seen from time to time. It is an exceptional piece on its own but also comes with a really interesting old label showing how these got over to Europe in the 1800s. Ex. Dr. Carl Riemann collection with his accompanying pre-WW1 label. Valued $1000-1500. A superb miniature from a classic USA locale!
