An impressive, intergrown cluster of smoky quartz crystals from Novo Horizonte, Brazil. The water-clear, glassy smokies are shot through with glimmering, golden needles of rutile. Some of the needles are over 6.0 cm long and you can distinctly see long needles enclosed in both smokies!. Facinating. A few of the crystal faces are preferentially lightly frosted. Complete all-around. A trivial bit of termination and edgwear is noted, but are certainly modest detractions. Several of the faces on the large crystal are so lustrous and clear, it is just a great example. Really striking! Older material. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
