Splendent sprays of golden metallic rutile needles fill a water-clear sliced and polished quartz section on this dramatic and excellent specimen. The needles reach about 7.3 cm on this beautiful combination. The left side is an unpolished crystal face and the base has been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality of this fine piece. The right side and back are contacted, but have minimal impact to the fine display quality. Rutilated quartz of this richness, size and quality is relatively uncommon from any Brazilian locality and this is a good one.
