Highly lustrous, partially gemmy, rubyjack sphalerite crystals to 3.0 cm blanket most of the limestone matrix on this dramatic and impressive large speicmen from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine. A lone, 2.0 cm, gemmy and lustrous, amber calcite crystal is a super accent. The large limestone porch is coated with sparkly, drusy quartz, as a further embellishment. This large piece is in great shape, except for modest peripherywear. An excellent large sphalerite specimen from this noted locale. Ex John Fender Collection # 492. 6 pounds or 2.7 kilos.
