Item Description

A sharp and sharply twinned, rubyjack sphalerite crystal is peppered with brassy chalcopyrite crystals on this showy and excellent specimen from an obscure Baxter Springs, Kansas Tri-State District mine. The splendent crystal has glamorous zones of gemmy yellow-orange fire under bright light. The tip of the larger twin is cleaved, but this remains a very fine and rare combination specimen from this uncommon locale. Ex George Feist Collection # 2779.
