Sharp, highly lustrous, metallic looking sphalerite crystals are festooned on the mounded small cabinet plate on this exceptional and aesthetic old-timer from the famous Joplin Field. The well-striated, twinned crystals, to 2.7 cm, appear to be black, but bright light reveals classic areas of rubyjack color. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded, water-stained century-old label. Classic and excellent old Tri-State sphalerite.
