Item Description

Sharp, euhedral ruby crystals are VERY RARE from Franklin County, North Carolina. This striking, exotically shaped and colorful 360-degree tabular crystal is composed of glassy, highly lustrous, partially translucent variable rose-red to light pink ruby with gray to black areas of corundum. The form is dramatically enhanced by the sharp contacted areas, where other crystals once lay. Scattered blebs of green chlorite are a nice accessory. Complete all-around and in great shape. The sculptural front is pristine. One end on the back is bruised/contacted and is out-of-sight in the frontal view. Ex Chester Lemanski Collection. We just acquired his large collection.
