Item Description
A fine and interesting parallel-growth pair of magenta, tabular, hexagonal, doubly terminated floater ruby crystals from this well-known locale in India. The lustrous stepped-growth faces and embedded matrix add pizzazz to this essentially opaque layered crystal. Slight edge translucence is noted, when the crystal is back lit. An excellent and sharper-than-average ruby corundum example from the locale. Cherry-red fluorescence. Mass is 114 grams. Rarely seen in quality like this, today.
