Item Description
A beautiful, hexagonal, partially gemmy, lustrous, classic pigeons blood-red, ruby crystal! It is surrounded on all sides with wildly complimentary platy, green, mavinite blades. Mavinite is a unique green brittle mica found only at Karnataka, India. It is intermediate between "xanthophyllite" (= clintonite) and chloritoid and is not recognized as a distinct mineral species. Irregardless, this is a very rare and showy example of the combination species and locale. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! valued $750-900
