Item Description
A gorgeous and rarely seen association specimen of the lesser known but fine quality Ruby specimens from the Chumar Mines in Nepal. This piece not only features sharp, lustrous, rich pinkish-purple color hexagonal crystals of Ruby, but they are associated with chrome green color crystals of Fuchsite (a variety of Muscovite Mica) sitting on golden-brown Phlogopite Mica matrix. I've never seen such a good example of Fuchsite with Ruby from this locality, and the color is about as good as it gets from any locality. To top it off, the Fuchsite is GEMMY when backlit, and glows with color. The piece comes with a label from the famous and recently deceased mineral dealer, Larry Conklin. Valued at $800.
