Item Description
Mineral specimens are very uncommon from this less well-known locale. This is an unusually shaped, doubly terminated, tapered floater ruby crystal. The upper tip is classic, translucent, pigeons blood-red. Tiny muscovites are embedded in the sides and one side is partially casted, where another crystal once lay, adding character. Charlie Key, along with John Barlow, sponsored a collecting trip to Nepal for these in 1984. Ex Charlie Key stock. Bright red fluorescence!
