Item Description
The Ruby Spinels from Mogok are some the finest crystallized examples of the species in the world. The combination of the textbook crystals along with excellent color and gemminess have made them iconic in the mineral world. This piece is a wonderful, very sharp, well-formed octahedron of Ruby Spinel with a rich red color and near WATER CLEAR transparency. There is one tiny nick on one of the corners, but the rest of the crystal is undamaged and good quality. Most people are aware of Ruby Spinels on the market, but not a lot of them have a good example in their collections. If you're a fan of gem crystals, you should have good Ruby Spinel crystals in your collection.
