This gem is an attractive, good sized, VVS, rich pinkish red color, "Oval" cut gemstone. This gem has a very attractive hue and the clarity is certainly better than many of the Spinels on the market today. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels, because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Ruby Spinels may be dwindling. The high retail value on this stone is $300 per carat.
