Ruby (rare US locality)

Item Description

An incredibly hard to find, excellent quality, old classic example of the famous Propst Farm Rubies featuring a pair of sharp, lustrous, euhedral, tabular hexagonal prisms with a nice saturated, darker pinkish-red color. The piece is in very good shape on the front side, and it appears to be crudely doubly-terminated on the back, but there is a bit of attached glue back there, so I can't tell if it's completely crystallized or slightly contacted. This is one of the best examples I've seen from Propst Farm, and would make a fine addition to any thumbnail suite, a collection of gem crystals or specimens from the United States.
