Item Description
A fascinating pseudomorph rarity from a NEW FIND at this less well-known large marble massif in Tanzania, known for excellent spinel crystals. Pretty pink, moderately lustrous, translucent to opaque RUBY has pseudomorphed a sculptural and aesthetic miniature cluster of intergrown sharp Spinel octahedrons. The impressive, large and pristine doubly terminated octo is 3.3 cm tall and the secondary doubly terminated compound oct is 2.4 cm tall. They are both pristine. Pinkish-red fluorescence. The locality is known for such pseudomorphs, but they are RARELY available. The piece has several fine display views. Value???
